Jessica Hyman is Chief Sustainability Officer at Atlassian. She leads several teams, including Climate, Human Rights and Responsible Technology, Sustainability governance and the Atlassian Foundation.

Jessica has built Atlassian’s climate program from the ground up. Under her leadership, the team has sourced 100% renewable electricity for Atlassian’s operations, set Science-Based Targets to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040, and has brought fresh energy to climate action, including through Atlassian’s ian’s Don’t #@!% the Planet guide.

Jessica drove the development of Atlassian's Human Rights program, which released the company’s first Human Rights Statement. The company has since integrated a Human Rights lens across the business, including publishing Atlassian’s Responsible Technology Principles and Review Template.

Finally, Jessica ensures Atlassian communicates transparently with investors and customer alike on its progress across voluntary and mandatory reporting. Newest to Jessica’s remit is the Atlassian Foundation, the company’s philanthropic arm, which is focused on creating a positive impact in global communities through education and supporting Atlassian’s social impact customers.

In her nearly decard-long tenure at Atlassian, Jessica has led several teams within the People function including Strategy, Operations, Communications, Analytics and DEI.

Beyond Atlassian, Jessica serves on the board of Pledge 1%. She is also a member of several Chief Sustainability Officer communities including the Aspen Leaders Forum, World50 Group Member and Nation Swell Member to learn from and contribute to the sustainability leadership practice.
